Why call an alligator strap sustainable ?
Unfortunately, not all leather skins from breeding farms pass the quality inspection. These animals are alive and live a wild and turbulent life, as alligators are known to be belligerent. Sometimes the skin is damaged, rejected by the leather industry and finally thrown away. The animal is therefore raised and killed for nothing.
Farmers and tanners of alligator skins decided 10 years ago to reduce their carbon footprint and try to sensibilize on a sustainable policy.
We must not sacrifice skins of less good quality.
To reduce the carbon impact of breeding farms and tanners, 100% of the skins must be used, as a result the products are sold at a lower price and a no-waste policy is guaranteed.
Atelier du bracelet Parisien is proud of its partnership with a famous tanner and offers a black only sustainable full alligator strap.
The quality of our straps remains the same, the only technicity will be for our workmen to avoid the flaws of the animals wildlife.
