Traditionally in Japan Nomunication hour a hybrid of nomu (drink) and communication, is after 5pm when its cocktail hour and time to talk things over. The Seiko Presage Cocktail Time collection was inspired by this Japanese custom with each timepiece named after drinks mixed by Hisashi Kishi, head bartender of Star Bar in Tokyos Ginza area.

With a dial designed to resemble the view of the drink through a glass, this timepiece is inspired by a beer julep cocktail. Mr Kishi mixes Japanese beer with whisky, gin, sugar syrup, lemon and basil leaves, to create a fragrant and fresh aperitif. The dial of this piece beautifully captures the sparkling crispness of the cocktail.

A striking gold-coloured case and bracelet match its dial whilst golden indices are complemented by dauphine hands and a date function at 3 oclock. It has a three-fold clasp with a push button release, as well as a see-through exhibition case back.

This piece is 40.5mm in diameter and 11.8mm deep. It is powered by an in-house built 4R35 automatic calibre that is accurate to 45 / -35 seconds per day.
