A lovely example of the historically important Tudor Oyster Prince 7809. Hailing from circa 1950, this example of the Tudor Oyster Prince reference 7809 oozes with vintage charm with the dial having taken on a most pleasing, even patina.

The Tudor Oyster Prince reference 7809 was the same reference used on the British North Greenland Expedition (BNGE) of 1952-54. So historically important was the reference 7809, that in 2015 Tudor released a new line of watches at Baselworld under the moniker North Flag. The "North Flag" name having been derived from the "North Ice" base camp of the original expedition.

Condition Report:

This particular example is presented in excellent vintage condition. The dial remains clean having taken on a gorgeous patina. The hands too show patina and some ageing. The case remains in honest vintage condition with noticeable scratches and light dings. The self winding calibre 390 movement is just back from a comprehensive service and finally the watch is fitted to a new, 3rd party leather strap.
